Matcha guide
How to make it
Two easy ways to start. No experience needed.

With Water
The classic way. Smooth, bright, and ready in about two minutes.
You'll need
- — 2 g matcha (about 1 level teaspoon)
- — 70 ml hot water at 80 °C / 175 °F
Steps
- 1Sift the matcha into a bowl to break up any clumps.
- 2Add a splash of the hot water and stir into a smooth paste.
- 3Pour in the rest of the water.
- 4Whisk briskly in a zig-zag “M” motion for 15–20 seconds until a fine foam forms.
- 5Enjoy right away.
Tip: Boiling water can taste bitter. Let a just-boiled kettle rest for a few minutes to bring it down to about 80 °C.
